Hi! I’m Jed, and I am currently employed as a full-time in-house Web Developer here in Saudi Arabia as an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW).

I am fascinated about topics about System Architecture, Software Development and whatever in between. This makes me want to new opportunities to develop my knowledge base regarding both areas.

Currently, I am pursuing my Master’s degree in Information Systems (MIS), which has led to recent some course learning activities that have had me delving deep into the specifics of Advanced Computer Systems. As part of the lab component of my coursework, I have been playing around with Cloud Infrastructure and deploying AWS Linux virtual machines to measure the impact of running Stress Tests and Performance Benchmarks. The experience I have gained through analyzing the real-world application of Single-Core Processors and Multi-Core Architectures has greatly improved my ability to optimize resource allocation not only with AWS but within Modern Computing.

In addition to the technical aspects of my coursework in my degree program, I have been also collaborating at the moment with a cohort of fifty students on one of our requirements as part of a current course I am taking while I'm writing this article.

Outside of the realms of Web Development and Server Environments, I am actively finding the balance between the demands in my studies while maintaining  and active and health-conscious lifestyle. I recently tested my physical limits by training for and completing a half-marathon in Riyadh. In order to maintain the energy levels required for my busy academic and work schedules, I make a conscious decision to consume healthy and easy-to-prepare meals.

When it is time to take a break from being productive at work, I leave my keyboard behind, I enjoy immersing myself in digital entertainment. When I am not building web apps or configuring servers, you can typically find me playing games on my PlayStation or watching movies using my Meta Quest. Whether I am exploring a new immersive tech experience, or achieving a new personal best during a run workout, I strive to live a thinking-mindset while I pursue a rigid professional life. Always ready to learn, build, and grow – whether on-screen or off!
